Da Silva Winery | The Kitchen

Tucked around the back of a 1950s farmhouse just minutes from downtown Penticton, The Kitchen at Da Silva Vineyards and Winery is the kind of place you'd never find unless someone told you about it. And once you do, you'll wonder how you ever missed it.

Chef Abul Adame's menu draws from Portuguese and Spanish tradition, woven through with the bold, soulful instincts of his Mexican heritage. There are no recipes written down, no formulas to replicate. Every dish comes from instinct, cultural roots and taste — passing through Abul's hands before it ever reaches yours. If you don't believe it, drop in and see for yourself. The Kitchen simply wouldn't open without him.

With over 30 tapas on the menu (all gluten free) the food is honest, unfussy and made with complete transparency. Vegetarian and vegan options sit comfortably alongside the rest, and whether you're coeliac or simply curious, there's something here for you.

But ask the guests who keep coming back what it is they love about this place, and most of them can't quite put their finger on it. It's not just the food, or the wine, or the views of the sunset lake and vineyard — though all of that is here too. It's something harder to name. A feeling of home. Of being welcomed in with no sense of rush, no table to flip, no corporate clock ticking in the background. Just a small but mighty team, good company, and a meal that's allowed to linger as long as it needs to.

Complement your experience with a glass from Da Silva's wine library, find your spot on the sun-drenched patio, and let the evening take care of itself.

Come with an open mind, good company, and a healthy appetite for discovery.
