As 2025 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to celebrate some of our favourite new restaurant openings from the past year. This isn’t a complete list of every place that opened its doors, but rather an overview of openings that really stood out to us. From long-anticipated brick-and-mortar openings to bold new concepts and beloved pop-ups, these restaurants helped shape another delicious year in our community.
Here’s a look at the restaurants that opened in Penticton and Naramata in 2025.
BNA Brewing

BNA Brewing arrived in Penticton with a beachy Okanagan twist that feels instantly at home. This playful, high-energy space features bowling lanes, bocce beside your table, a retro trailer turned DJ booth, and sun-soaked patios perfect for lingering afternoons.
On the menu, you’ll find BNA favourites like Filipino fried rice, steamed pork buns, and pizza, alongside fresh new offerings from the raw bar — including a stacked seafood tower and delicate aburi oshi. Laid-back, inclusive, and designed for fun, BNA Brewing quickly became a go-to gathering place in 2025.
Ooolala – Crêperie, Café, Bistro

After several summers as a must-visit Airstream crêperie, Ooolala has officially put down roots in the former Loki’s Garage location — and Penticton couldn’t be happier.
Originally from Brittany, owner Carole brings an authentic French bistro experience inspired by her family recipes and a love of simple, high-quality ingredients. The menu features beloved sweet and savoury crêpes, freshly brewed coffee, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels straight out of a quaint Parisian café. A chalkboard menu hints at future bistro classics still to come, making this an exciting new chapter for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
The White Raven Pub

Located in the former Cellar Wine Bar on Main Street, The White Raven Pub brings a true neighbourhood pub vibe to downtown Penticton. Expect pub-style comfort food, 16 rotating wines on tap, 12 beers on tap, and classic rock and country-inspired cocktails. A thoughtful perk for downtown diners: bring your parking receipt and they’ll deduct it from your food order. It’s an approachable, community-first pub that feels like it’s always been there.
Mack’s Social House

Located in the historic Cannery building, Mack’s Social House is a stylish reinvention of the former Nest. New owners Melissa and Ryan gently remodeled the space into a warm, inviting social hub with a newly renovated bar, cozy fireplace nooks, steakhouse-style booths, big screens for games, and a beautiful patio.
The chef delivers a scratch-made seasonal menu that balances comfort and creativity. Breakfast is equally strong, with waffles, French toast, omelets, and house-baked sourdough and focaccia. Mack’s quickly established itself as a standout eatery in 2025.
Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza

Opening mid-April on colourful Front Street, Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza brought true New York–style pies to Penticton. Housed in the former Honey Toast Café, the bold graphics and stainless steel interior are hard to miss.
Owners Dom and Frank Morra recreated their popular Vancouver concept here, offering thin-crust pizzas baked to order, available by the slice or the pie, plus classic subs. The menu pays tribute to pizza pioneer Gennaro Lombardi, who opened New York’s first pizzeria in 1905. This opening was a big win for Penticton’s pizza lovers.
Bistro Lapin Perdu

Lapin Perdu, French for Lost Rabbit, is a bistro built around discovery, warmth, and lingering conversation. Created by hospitality pros Christopher Royal (Tratto, Chulo) and Michael Ziff (formerly of Poplar Grove), the restaurant reimagined the historic property at the Naramata Inn as a French auberge-style country inn.
The pop-up bistro offered approachable French classics with a subtle Québécois flair, a beverage list highlighting local Okanagan producers alongside European influences, and dishes designed to please everyone at the table. While Lapin Perdu has closed for the season, it will return with a full reopening on May 1, 2026.
The Underdog

Penticton’s newest sports bar opened in the former Clancy’s Pub & Grill with a bold promise: nothing on the menu costs more than $10. True to its name, The Underdog is all about inclusivity, affordability, and good vibes.
With dozens of TVs, a revamped horse betting area, games like darts, pool, shuffleboard, and foosball (coming soon), plus a more casino-like feel with new lotto and pull-tab machines, it’s designed for fun. Everything is made in-house, and prices stay refreshingly low, from $1 wings to $9.95 nachos, sliders, and meatballs. The Underdog also proudly shows Penticton Vees games, cementing its role as a local hangout.
Après

After a fresh, modern refresh, Après reopened in 2025 in the former Ogo’s space, transforming it into a bright and easygoing spot inspired by après-ski and après-sun life. Après celebrates “the simple joy of celebrating after doing something you love.” The menu features New Zealand–style real fruit ice cream, specialty coffee, smoothies, baked goods, and grab-and-go options like sandwiches, salads, and soups. Toasted bagels with flavoured cream cheese are rolling out in the new year — perfect for busy mornings. It’s a place designed for après everything.
